Everything you need to know about third-party maintenance, EOSL support, and working with Global TPM.
🔧
TPM Basics
Third-party maintenance is hardware support provided by a company other than the original equipment manufacturer. Instead of paying Cisco, HPE, Dell, NetApp, or IBM directly, organizations work with a TPM provider like Global TPM to receive equivalent — or better — service at significantly lower cost. TPM covers break-fix repairs, parts replacement, remote technical support, and on-site field engineering.
Most Global TPM clients save between 50% and 70% compared to OEM maintenance contracts. The exact savings depend on your equipment mix, current contract terms, and the SLA level you choose. Request a free quote and we'll show you a side-by-side comparison based on your specific environment.
In many cases, yes — and often better. OEMs frequently route support calls through multiple tiers of call centers before reaching a qualified engineer. At Global TPM, you get a dedicated Service Delivery Manager who knows your environment, direct access to L3–L4 certified engineers, and an average remote ticket response time of just 15 minutes.
We support servers, storage arrays, networking equipment, and mainframes from Cisco, HPE, Dell EMC, NetApp, IBM, Juniper, Oracle, and Lenovo. If you have equipment from a vendor not listed, contact us — our team likely has experience with it.

EOSL & EOL
End of Life (EOL) means the OEM has stopped selling the product but may still provide some support. End of Service Life (EOSL) is the final stage — all OEM support, updates, and patches completely stop. At EOSL your only options are a hardware refresh or TPM. Global TPM covers both. Check our EOSL database →
Absolutely — this is one of our core specialties. We maintain extensive inventories of certified spare parts for EOSL equipment and our engineers are experienced with legacy platforms that OEMs no longer support. EOSL hardware can run reliably for years with proper TPM support.
Use our EOSL Library to look up dates for your specific equipment. You can also contact our team and we'll run a free EOSL audit of your environment.

SLAs & Contracts
We offer three tiers: Level I (24×7×4hr Onsite), Level II (24×7×NBD Onsite), and Level III (8×5×NBD Onsite). All tiers include US-based remote support, a dedicated SDM, certified parts, call home monitoring, and our 15-minute average response time. Custom SLAs are also available. See full SLA details →
A coterminous contract aligns multiple hardware assets to a single expiration date regardless of when each piece was added to the agreement. This eliminates managing dozens of separate renewal dates and makes annual budgeting much simpler.
Yes. All Global TPM clients receive access to an online ticketing portal with a dashboard for submitting support requests, tracking tickets, viewing contract details, and accessing renewal notifications. Portal access is provisioned during onboarding — your Service Delivery Manager will send credentials.
