Independent NetApp Support,
Without the Renewal Shock

NetApp controllers routinely stay healthy well past the point SupportEdge renewals stop making financial sense. We keep those systems covered and honest about what shifts.

Three Things About NetApp Support

Straight talk on where independent support genuinely helps — and where it doesn't.

01

Be clear-eyed about ONTAP updates

This is the honest trade-off. TPM covers hardware break-fix and spares. It does not include new ONTAP releases. For a stable cluster on a mature ONTAP version, that's usually fine — but you should decide it deliberately, not discover it later.

02

Controller and shelf sparing is the core need

In practice, NetApp incidents are drives, NVRAM batteries, PSUs, and the occasional controller. We stock FAS and AFF spares across generations, including shelves NetApp has retired.

03

Mixed-generation clusters are normal

Plenty of environments run an AFF A300 beside an older FAS8040. NetApp prices those separately; we cover the whole estate under one coterminous agreement.

Every NetApp Contract Includes

15-Min Avg Response

US-based L3–L4 engineers, not a tier-one script. Average remote ticket response is 15 minutes.

📦

Tested NetApp Spares

Parts staged against your specific configuration — including components the OEM no longer stocks.

🛡️

Dedicated SDM

One named person who knows your environment, tracks renewals, and owns your SLA.

📋

One Contract

NetApp alongside every other vendor in your estate, on a single coterminous renewal date.

Choose from three SLA tiers — 24×7×4hr, 24×7×NBD, or 8×5×NBD. Compare SLA options →

We Cover the Rest of Your Estate Too

Most environments run four or five vendors. Consolidating them under one agreement removes a great deal of administrative overhead.
